This piece is an Earth-like figure with shapes representing water and the different forms of water we come across. The Haiku helps the viewer understand why water is an important part of the piece.
Growing up, water was something I thought everyone had access too. This Haiku reflects the idea that many people do not realize the issues people face in terms of clean and easily accessible water. A lot of us grow up taking water for granted and grow to realize that the world as a whole also takes water for granted. We must do everything in our power to make sure waterways are not being polluted and drinking water can be readily available for everyone, not just those who can afford it.
