This artwork focuses on the ways in which water connects us all, through its necessity for survival, recreational use, and being an integral part of who we are.

When creating this postcard art, I kept the idea of water influencing my life in mind; to me, water has provided my family with something to bond over, from trips to the beach to cooking meals together, and as a result, allows me to be able to look back on my childhood memories with joy. Those memories are an integral part of who I am, as is water itself! Water is in each and every one of us and is one of the few things that every person has in common. Water recycling over time connects us to every person that came before us, and every person that comes after. It connects us to the other living creatures that inhabit the earth and can allow for a sense of community for all inhabitants of this planet. It is a necessity for each and every one of us and is a fundamental part of all of our identities.
