I created my project with labels from water bottles that I had found littered around the pool deck that I work at over the span of a few weeks. I recycled these water bottles and really saw how much pollution there is in the world around me.

Water inspires me because water is the core of my being. It is the substance of all human life, and it is the foundation of the life around us. You would think that with the knowledge we have on the vitality of water for hydration, thermal regulation, nutrients, etc., people would take better precautions when it comes to the execution of how we drink that water. The largest method by humans is by plastic water bottles and this affects me because of the extreme pollution it causes. My body is my temple, and it does not deserve to be contaminated by the micro-particles that take years and years to disintegrate, and as a result, are inhaled and ingested into my bloodstream and organs. I want to know what we can do as a society, but even more importantly, what I can do as an individual, to purify the most important element of human existence, water.
