My postcard is a part of a panoramic image I captured while on the southern coast of Oahu with a poem I wrote placed over it.
Water is one of the basic elements of life and without it, the next generation will not be able to enjoy all that this earth has to offer and live the same life our parents did before us. The poem I wrote is intended to symbolize the need to fix and save what we have left before it’s too late. The desire for the people of the world to consume and create often overshadows and doesn’t take into account the saving and managing of our resources. Fresh water is something we need to survive and there are people all over the world who don’t have access to it because of the corporations and people all over the world who put their own needs before those of the community. It’s going to take all of us, from all walks of life and all corners of the globe to fight for a future with cleaner water and a safer environment for the next generation.
