Even when I was little, I have always been around water and would always feel excited to swim. Swimming underwater felt very natural for me, and the one mythical creature that came to mind was a mermaid.
When thinking about how water had influenced me, it really put into perspective how much it was a part of my life. I would go to the beach with friends/family to go into the water at a very young age and would always go near the waves. Once I got a little older and not at any beaches, I joined a swim team and would practice twice a week before a meet, and then was on top of already being in summer camp. I would even enjoy being in the rain when I choose to. With all of this being said it was only logical to choose a mermaid, as they live their life under the waves. I am constantly either by a pool or a nearby beach and always felt free and relaxed when I swim, and if it wasn’t for me easily getting sunburned I would stay in the water all day. When I do go to the beach near me I would always find a couple of horseshoe crabs by the shore. It seemed fitting to add them on here as well as they too were a part of my life.
