My Life in Zines
My Life in Zines
By Trisha Remetir
Zines are DIY paper publications that are usually collaged, photocopied, and shared across intimate networks. Inspired by the first zine that I ever got (well, borrowed from my older brother) this video project thinks through transpacific narratives, networks, and reaching for others, across moments of isolation. Text is layered over water sounds, cut with videos taken from around the Bicol province in the Philippines, from summer 2019.
