I made this art due in part that the holiday of Passover is coming up, which got me thinking about core ideas we’ve covered in this class, including community, solitude, and intimacy. For my ritual of repair, I specifically focused on prayer, and within this piece how it carves out space for community, to pray together. Though you are technically praying alone, in an intimate state with yourself and the entity you are praying to, in a space such as a religious building filled with fellow members of your religion, you are also a part of a community, together in one place.
